FRIDAY awards Dutcher

SCA alumnus DEBBY FRIDAY, last year's Polaris winner, hosted the Gala for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize, which was awarded to Jeremy Dutcher for Motewolonuwok on September 17, 2024, at Massey Hall. A second Polaris win for Dutcher, who also won in 2018 for Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, but well deserved this time, too. More HERE.

Bruton and Bates score Lucky Star

SCA alumnus Rebecca Bruton collaborated with Meredith Bates on the soundtrack for Gillian McKercher's Lucky Star, which is screening as part of the 2024 Vancouver International Film Festival on Thursday, October 3, at 6:30 PM and Saturday, October 5, at 12:30 at the International Village Cinemas (88 W.
