Cairo Fabric of the Everyday
The SCA's Sabine Bitter and her longtime collaborator Helmut Weber, together with Huda Lutfi, have curated and are also part of the exhibition Cairo Fabric of the Everyday, which also includes SCA alumnus Mena El Shazly, opening Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM, and running to November 28, at the Austrian Cultural Forum (1103 Corniche El-Nile, Garden City, 1st Floor, Apt. 7). SCA alumnus Alexandra Caprara's ULTRA VIOLETS, "a dance-theatre piece that explores intersections of plant movements, abstractions of the body, and queer club history, all connected by the notion of 'becoming,'" which was her graduating work, is being presented as part of IndieFest, running November 21 & 22, 2024, at Signals Studio at the Centre for Digital Media (577 Great Northern Way, Vancouver).
