Program

Ashes to Ashes
Erin Docherty, Lianne Guo, Nabat Adigozal

In an isolated northern town, a young woman plagued by nightmarish visions becomes a suspect in a devastating fire, but as she is interrogated, the line between reality and hallucinations begin to blur, revealing things that are not what they seem.

Wandering, Still
Maggie Johnson, Mason Flint, Cheryl Shiu

A visual diary of the daily events of two twenty-somethings who live completely separate lives, yet their experiences hold universal truths.

Chocolate Sunset Violet Junkyard
Goran Arenas, Ryan McEachern, Siobhan Heritage

When an important monument to their childhood is scheduled to be destroyed, three friends come together to try and save it.

A Loan
Megan Gibbons, Dana Elizondo Pulido, Sherine Chan

A non-sequential kaleidoscopic film exploring the concept of time, nostalgia, and loneliness through the perspective of a young woman coming to terms with loss.

Fair Weather Friends
Mikalya Luchinski, Soléne Pango Salas, Maya Wong

When a reunion between former childhood friends Annelise and Mirabella is interrupted by new friends, the teens have their relationships tested deep in a haunted forest.

HALATION
Aria Amirmoini, Akhil J Narayanan, Aubin Spitzer

After tucking her ill mother to sleep, Halia mourns fading memories of the past. Trying to comfort herself by grabbing a jar of homemade taffies, the realisation that she is holding the last taffy her mom would ever make overwhelms her. An ethereal light coming from the window behind her transports her to a dream world; a world in which she journeys into the depth of her crumbling past.
