Bombogensis is a meteorological euphemism for "explosive cyclogenesis," which descirbes a rapidly intensifying, midlatitude weather pattern. Most commonly a maritime and wintertime event that's also latitude dependent, bombogensis is caused by a deepening extratropical cyclonic low-pressure area, resulting in massive, often "explosive" storms marked by strengthening winds, high precipitation rates, and even thundersnow.
In the context of the SCA's Theatre MainStage production, however, Bombogensis is also a musical.
Please join us for newly devised work of musical theatre that blusters and blows equally across the hilly topography of Austria, Hollywood, and the Lower Mainland.
Presented by the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts.
