SCA Fall 2018 Orientation
August 28, 2:00pm
Djavad Mowafaghian World Art Centre
2nd floor, SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts
149 West Hastings Street, Vancouver
Please join us on for a crash-course introduction to the School for the Contemporary Arts at SFU. With dance, film, music, theatre, visual art, and more, plus all of the other resources and opportunities in the school, we have a lot of interrelated parts to cover and get to know. And to help give you a taste of what life and work in the arts after graduation can be like, we'll be joined by the members of the Warehaus Dance Collective, an energetic and active local arts group co-founded by SCA alums Akeisha de Baat and Megan Hunter, who are Warehaus' Co-Artistic Directors. Find out more about them at their site – and get your questions ready!
SCA’s Orientation is also presented with the assistance of the school’s Student Unions, who will be holding a panel discussion at the end to give you the student perspective on the SCA. We will then all "break out" for snacks and conversation.
No need to RSVP, and feel free to bring your folks or friends if you want. All are welcome!
Please note: this is a different event than the main SFU Orientation on August 30 at the Burnaby Campus. If you have time to attend both, that’s great, but this event is recommended for all new SCA students.
