Amanda Sum + Justin Calvadores's WIDE STANCE DANCE

Commissioned by Company 605⁠, SCA alumni Amanda Sum and Justin Calvadores are presenting the "world premiere screening" of WIDE STANCE DANCE, featuring music by SCA alumni Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi⁠, at F-O-R-M 2021 on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 5:00 PM (PDT), followed by a live artist talkback facilitated by Aria Evans. Loscil's LUX Refractions

SCA alumni Scott Morgan / Loscil has just released LUX Refractions, a limited edition photo book – featuring "36 full page photographs printed and perfect-bound by Hemlock Printers in Vancouver" with a "double-hit of Indigo Black ink on 80lb FSC MIX Lynx Smooth paper" – and CD, which together extend and remake the music of his other great recent release, Clara. SCA alumni Rebecca Bruton and dancer Heather Ware, who is the DSW Artist in Residence, are presenting We needed to be rescued for Dancers' Studio West at various times from Thursday, September 2 to Saturday, September 4, 2021. More HERE.

Centre A and The Polygon Gallery have made A Lingering Shadow available online, including video works by SCA alumni Anchi Lin and Cindy Mochizuki and the SCA's Jin-me Yoon. Watch them HERE until September 6, 2021.

SCA in Together / Apart Digital Duet Series

Upcoming – Together / Apart Digital Duet Series, running free / by donation from September 24 – October 9, 2021, with a premiere and "artist talk-back" on September 24 at 7:00 PM (PDT), pesented by Co.ERASGA as part of BC Culture Days. Performances include SCA alumni Antonio Somera, Kayla De Vos, Marc Arboleda, and Billy Marchenski, and the series was co-created by SCA alumni Deanna Peters. More HERE.
