Vickers' Ancestor Gesture

Upcoming: SCA alumni Charlene Vickers' exhibition Ancestor Gesture at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver, running September 17, 2021, to January 2, 2022, in both the B.C. Binning Gallery, CAG Façade, and off-site at Yaletown-Roundhouse Station. More HERE. Ramsey's Interior Infinite

SCA alumni Justin Ramsey, who's the new curator for The Polygon Gallery – and who was also one of the panelists from yesterday's Re-Orientation Day: A Day of Community Thinking on Race, Art and Practice at the School for the Contemporary Arts (with Brianna Bernard, Justine Chambers, Roxanne Charles, Tin Gamboa, Erika Mitsuhashi, Faune Ybarra, and moderator Henry Daniel) – gave a talk on Zoom about the exhibition he curated, Interior Infinite, which ran June 25 to September 5, 2021. Coughlin's a finalist

Read a profile of SCA alumni Krystle Coughlin, who's one of six finalists for the 2021 Yukon Prize. Coughlin and the other finalists' work will be exhibited at The Yukon Arts Centre, opening September 18, 2021, and the winner will be announced at a "celebratory event in Whitehorse" late November (19 – 21).
