Read Calderon – and then Mask It!

Read an essay from SCA alumni Davey Samuel Calderon (Playwrights Theatre Centre's Dramaturg, Public Engagement) about "The Dramaturgy of Online Security." Read it HERE. Lin and Cassady in Nextfest

SCA alumni Shannon Lin will be presenting And Along Came Tomorrow, a dance film she produced, choreographed, and performed (with direction by Valentine "Tino" Dumec), and Katie Cassady will be presenting "II," which she choreographed for dancers Sarah Wong and Sophie Mueller-Langer and featuring music by SCA alumni Stefan Nazarevich, as part of The Nextfest Arts Company's 2021 Nextfest Festival (June 3 – 13, 2021), curated by Good Women Dance Collective. SCA Leo nominations

SCA alumni LS Todd's Monkey Beach was nominated for nine Leo Awards, which recognize excellence in the British Columbia film and television industry, and SCA alumni Gloria Mercer's Hekademia was nominated for two (also, Hekademia will be streaming "Canada-wide" as part of the Oakville Festivals of Film & Art, from June 23 – 29, 2021). Congratulations to SCA alumni Jennifer Aoki for her new position as Artistic Co-Director at Voirelia: A Dance, Psychology, and Philosophy Hub, and congratulations to SCA alumni Andrea Valentine-Lewis for her new position as Gallery Coordinator at the Burrard Arts Foundation. Jackson's speech
