Indigenizing Course Content
The Department IRC conducted a survey of Department practices, the results of the survey and recommendtions are summarized here.
Recognizing that there are debates on who/how should be Indigenizing Course content (Pidgeon, 2016), the need for change in educational structures and methods is necessary for Reconciliation.
In Spring 2023, the SFU Library announced the development of the new space in the library (4th floor, Belzberg) for the SFU Indigenous Curriculum Resource Centre. The establishment and usage of the Resource Centre are important steps on the journey of Reconciliation.
