TSSU
Teaching Support Staff Union (TSSU)
Teaching assistants, tutor markers, and sessional instructors are all part of a labour union at SFU. The TSSU is here to protect your rights as teaching support staff.
Did You Know?
If you hold a TA position at least 1 out of the 3 semesters in a year, you’re considered a member.
If you’re actively TAing, you’re considered an active voting member.
TSSU Stewards
All General Membership meetings are open to everyone, and each department has up to 4 union stewards that act as a medium between you and the TSSU body. If you have any questions or concerns about your role as a TA/TM, or about your rights as a TA/TM, please contact your department steward(s). You can find the current TSSU representatives for psychology on our About page.
If you'd like to get involved with the TSSU as a steward, or would like to attend a General Membership meeting, check out the TSSU website.
