Constanze von Wrangel
Biography
Constanze von Wrangel is a PhD student at the Institute for Social Movements at the Ruhr University Bochum. Born in Hannover, she studied Geography and Political Science (B.A.) at the University of Münster and Urban and Regional Development (M.A.) at the University of Bremen.
Research Interests
In her research, she is interested in strengthening perspectives from below and therefore works with oral history interviews. In her PhD project, she examines the identity narratives that people construct when dealing with the industrial heritage of the Ruhr region. She contrasts these narratives "from below" with political agendas and public master narratives about the former industrial workplaces.
