The committee is committed to accommodating individual student needs and circumstances while upholding the rigorous quality standards of the program.  To submit a request, use the online form (Coursys - MSE M.Eng. SMS Requests).

Situations for utilizing the form:

  1. Course Enrollment Outside Group 1 or Group 2:   Students intending to enroll in a course outside the Group 1 or Group 2 list must seek pre-approval prior to enrollment. Please use the form to request approval for such courses.
  2. Exemption from MSE 795 Industrial Internship: Students who have already gained relevant Canadian experience before the scheduled internship semester may submit this form to request an exemption from taking MSE 795 Industrial Internship.  Instead of the internship course, applicants must commit to substituting the internship with an additional graduate level couse pre-approved by MSE during the graduating (fourth) semester.
