New Student Information
We are delighted you are joining us at SFU’s world-renowned School of Engineering Science. Admission to this school is highly competitive and you should be proud of your achievement. We look forward to inspiring you to become part of the next generation of high-tech leaders and innovators.
New students are recommended to review the Engineering Science Orientation Canvas Course before starting the program.
Academic advising is available to provide you with guidance throughout your educational experience. Advisors can help you make important decisions about your academic career and your professional future. Advisors also provide you with the tools you need to navigate the university, its departments, and its programs.

Entrance Scholarships
SFU Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships (Values range from $10,000 up to an amount sufficient to cover tuition and mandatory supplementary fees. Further funding, in the form of a living allowance, may be offered to support exceptionally talented students with demonstrated financial need.)
SFU Scholarships & Awards
SFU offers additional non-faculty specific scholarships, awards and bursaries for continuing SFU students. Domestic and international students can apply for these opportunities each term.
Departmental Scholarships
The Faculty of Applied Sciences provides bespoke scholarships, awards, and bursaries to our students each term. These awards are provided through the generosity of thousands of individuals, businesses, and community organizations who want to invest in the success of SFU's students.
