Engineering Science Graduates

The School of Engineering Science offers two distinct Master's degrees, Master of Engineering (MEng), or Master of Applied Science (MASc) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
In addition, for current undergraduate students in the School of Engineering Science, we offer an accelerated master's BASc-MASc program.
Program Length: Students are expected to complete the program requirements within six terms.
This program consists of course work and a thesis for a minimum of 30 units. The courses will normally be selected in consultation with the supervisor. ENSC 820 may not be used towards the MASc course requirements.
Students must complete:

This program consists of required courses and elective courses for a minimum of 30 units.
Students complete the following:
Program Length: Students are expected to complete the program requirements in 12 terms.
This program consists of 18 units of course work, a qualifying examination, and a thesis. Additional courses may be required to correct deficiencies in the student's background.
Students must complete a minimum of 18 units of coursework beyond the MASc degree, including:
MASc & PhD Students
In MASc program and PhD program, a supervisory committee must be established.
Students should appoint their supervisory committee no later than their second term.
M.Eng Students
Supervisory Committee is not required for MEng students. The Associate Chair of the Graduate Program Committee is the default program advisor of all MEng students and will be the approver for MEng students' requests.
