CONTINUING EDUCATION MECHATRONIC SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Join The Future Of Industrial Manufacturing
Automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 are profoundly changing the manufacturing industry, and you need to develop the right skills to meet today’s challenges. The School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering at Simon Fraser University is offering the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) to help you prepare for the high-tech job market, whether you are a working professional, a college student or a high school graduate.
SMSCP is a comprehensive industry skills certification program offered in collaboration with Siemens, a world leading manufacturing company. SMSCP focuses on system understanding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills through a learn-by-doing approach, which has been used in training Siemens’ own employees.
Build a highly-demanded industrial skill set
Through hands-on training, SMSCP helps highly talented professionals to easily meet the challenges of high-tech automation industries. In addition to expanding technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills, participants will receive extensive training on state-of-the-art industrial equipment to develop technical expertise with various components of complex mechatronic systems including: electrical and mechanical components; sensors and actuators; hydraulics and pneumatics; and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Successful graduates receive an internationally-recognized industrial certificate from Siemens that will provide them with a clear advantage in pursuing a career in automation and manufacturing.
Advance your skills at any stage of your career
BENEFITS FOR WORKING PROFESSIONALS
If you are a working engineer, technician, or operator, SMSCP will help you enhance your skills and advance your career in the ever-evolving manufacturing industry.
BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS
If you are a university, college or high school student, SMSCP will increase your employability and speed up your transition into the job market with hands-on training on real systems. Your SMSCP certificate will provide an additional credential to your degree or diploma.
