Mechatronic Systems Engineering Research Labs
The School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering is renowned for its pioneering, interdisciplinary research. We have an innovative faculty with a diverse range of research interests plus productive relationships with many industry partners, from start-ups to large companies. Our research mandate is to address industry challenges, advance knowledge, and contribute to the training of highly qualified personnel. We also welcome opportunities to work with industry in the development of commercial products and applications.
The school has also been highly successful in attracting research funding from agencies such as the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Canadian Networks of Centres of Excellence such as Auto21 and MITACS, and industrial partners.
Research within our school encompasses many areas, including sensing, actuation, intelligent systems, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, power, and energy. MSE's mission is to provide the critical link between the cyber and physical worlds in an increasingly cyber-physical society, engaging.
