• Maclean’s list of comprehensive universities: Simon Fraser University hit a prestigious milestone as it has been named the top comprehensive university, for the 15th time over the past 16 years, according to Maclean’s Magazine’s prestigious 2024 university rankings. 
• World's Universities with Real Impact: Simon Fraser University is Canada’s top university for innovation and second for industrial application, according to the 2024 World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI) rankings. It is the fourth consecutive year that SFU has ranked as the top university in Canada in the overall innovation category, and the only Canadian university to break into the innovation Top 50. Globally, SFU ranks 15th among innovative universities in the WURI rankings.
• Times Higher Education:  Simon Fraser University has been recognized as a world leader on climate action and sustainable cities and communities, according to the Times Higher Education (THE) 2024 Impact Rankings. THE ranked SFU for 11th position in Canada. SFU is one of the top 251-300 universities in the world.
• United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SFU is among the world's top 20 universities in terms of its impact, placing 17th among 2150 universities.
• QS World University Rankings: The 2025 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings ranked SFU 319 overall, alongside some of the most prestigious institutions in the world.
