Get all the information you need to apply for the Exchange Term Only and Dual Program.

Applicants to the Exchange Term Only and Dual Program must:
- have a Bachelor degree, preferably studies in French (major, minor or equivalent)
- be admitted to the French Module in the Professional Development Program
- meet the French language requirement: DELF B2 or equivalence, or higher
Option 1 - Exchange Term Only
SFU Tuition
For the 4 terms of the program, including the term at the Université de Tours, tuition and fees are paid to the home university. The tuition and fees are the same as for the PDP.
Additional Costs
Students are responsible for their own airfare and transportation costs, as well as costs associated with obtaining a visa, accommodation/residence, and personal expenses.
Option 2 - Dual Program
SFU Tuition
For the first 16 months of the program, tuition and fees are paid to the home university. The tuition and fees are the same as for the PDP.
Dual Program students must complete an additional course EDUC 380 (4 credits) during the EDUC 401/402 term. Tuition fees for this course are to be paid to SFU.
Additional Costs
Students are responsible for their own airfare and transportation costs, as well as costs associated with obtaining a visa, accommodation/residence, and personal expenses.
Université de Tours Master Program Tuition
To complete the Masters from the Université de Tours, students must register directly with the Université de Tours for the Mémoire professionnel (January to June) in September during the EDUC 405 session. Tuition fees for this term are paid to the Université de Tours (approximately 243 Euros).
Online Application
Students admitted to the PDP French Module will see a task to complete in SurveyMonkey Apply to apply to Tours.
The application includes:
- the online application form
- a letter of intent
Note: Applicants must be eligible for and admitted to the PDP French Module. Admission deadlines to the PDP and the SFU general admission must be respected.

Application Deadline
- Within 7 days after receiving your PDP offer of admission.
All applications to the Exchange Term and Dual Program need to be received by April 15, 2024.
For example:
- a candidate receiving their PDP offer of admission on February 20 has until February 27 to accept their PDP offer AND submit their application to the Exchange Term or Dual Program.
- a candidate receiving their PDP offer of admission on April 13 has until April 15 to accept their PDP offer AND submit their application to the Exchange Term or Dual Program as the application deadline for these programs is April 15.

Candidate Selection
The selection of candidates, determined by the French Education faculty, will be communicated to students by email.
After being admitted, students are responsible for:
- Applying for a student visa
- Complying with the host university's regulations and prove that they are worthy to represent their home university as best as possible
