Please tell us why you chose the Faculty of Education at SFU for your studies.

After reading Times Higher Education’s world university rankings (2012), I learned that Simon Fraser is ranked among the best in the world and second in Canada. In addition, its rich tradition of excellence in the field of education research and its diverse community engagement is what brought me to this institution.

Who is a faculty member you have enjoyed working with and why?

The Mathematics Education department at SFU, as a team, has provided exceptional resources, knowledge and advice to help their students perform at their optimum. Nevertheless, Dr. Nathalie SinclairDr. Rina Zazkis and Dr. Peter Liljedahl have been particularly inspiring for me.

What would you say to prospective students who are considering graduate school in the Faculty of Education?

The Faculty of Education at SFU is warm, welcoming and caters to the individual needs of its students.
