Previous Peer Mentor

My experience with my peer mentors Sydney and Emily are why I wanted to become a peer mentor. They helped to make my transition to SFU much easier and I hope to be able to do the same for other students.
What is your best first year memory?
Simply meeting new people and making new friendships with my peers.
Words of advice to new students?
I would advise new students to get a peer mentor. Having an experienced student as a peer mentor can be very helpful when navigating their first year. It can be comforting to have a peer to turn to and ask questions or learn from their experience.
What are you involved in on and off campus?
On campus I am involved in the peer mentorship program! Outside of school I teach piano and dance at various studios. I also work as a consultant at a bridal store in Vancouver.
