Previous Peer Mentor
Erin Seymour
I became a Peer Mentor to help other first years navigate this new experience. I participated in my faculties Peer Mentorship program when I was in my first year at SFU and really enjoyed it.
What is your best first year memory?
One of my best first year memories is making friends on campus, through my classes and also through the Peer Mentorship program.
Words of advice to new students?
Stay on top of any assignments, due dates and other events from the start. Using either a paper or digital planner to organize all these important dates early on will help you stay organized and can help you manage your time well!
What are you involved in on and off campus?
On campus, I am a Peer Mentor and also a HIVE Leader for the Faculty of Education. Off campus, I volunteer with my church's youth ministry and teaching religion classes while also working at the Surrey School District.
