When did you meet Thelma? | I first met Thelma around 1968 when the Pestology Centre was established at SFU |
In what capacity did you know Thelma? | I was a graduate student in Biology and I took an entomology course from her. |
Where are you now? | I now live in Whitehorse, Yukon. I am retired and enjoy hiking, fishing, canoeing and photography. When I left SFU in 1970 i was hired by Douglas College to teach Biology, I stayed at Douglas College for 25 years and was the Academic Dean when I moved to Grande Prairie Alberta as President of Grande Prairie Regional College. When I retired from GPRC I moved to the Yukon and combined with traveling around the world continue to enjoy nature. |
Wishes: | Thelma took a special interest in the few graduate students who were married, I remember fondly time she spent with my wife June and Jim and Barb Richerson. Thank you Thelma for making university life more complete and thank you for giving science and particularly entomology a personality. Happy Birthday! |
