Wishes: | Happy Happy Birthday dear Thelma! You have been and continue to be my dearest friend and mentor for over 30 years. You were the very first person I met at SFU and you made me feel so welcome that my nervousness about being in a new country and a new university, just vanished. You have led by example thousands of women scientists and have shown time and again that women can be great scientists and compassionate leaders. You have influenced so many generations of young women, and your legacy will live on forever in those women and their students and in their students. You have made a difference in so many peoples lives by example and by advice. You have changed the world for women scientists and we are forever grateful to you for your strength and leadership. You have no idea how very precious you are to me, and to so many others. I love you very dearly and wish you a wonderful birthday and many more!! Love Gail |
