Wishes: | Happy Birthday Thelma! From the moment I first met you in person at the graduate award ceremony when I was honored to receive the Thelma Finlayson Fellowship, you have been so gracious, caring, and supportive. I am so happy that we have become closer over the years and have developed a very dear friendship. My parents and brothers so enjoy visiting you and playing piano and violin for you, and every year when I come home to Vancouver, I look forward to visiting you with my husband and children, who also like to entertain you with violin. You have been a true inspiration to me and to countless students over the years. It was wonderful to see you at your 100th birthday symposium and I look forward to seeing you again this summer. I wish you a very happy 100th birthday and many more years of health and happiness! Therese Poland |
