International refunds

General flywire information:

SFU has partnered with Flywire to provide students residing outside of Canada with a secure payment method that simplifies the refund process. With this system, you can receive online refunds, in your local currency or Canadian currency. Please refer to the List of Countries eligible for this method of payment. You will be notified to your SFU email when a refund is submitted to Flywire for payment. Please note that bank transfer fees and foreign exchange rate may be applicable.

Flywire's multilingual customer support is available to help 24/7 using multiple channels.

Refund request instructions:

1. If you have an available credit on your student account and you are residing outside of Canada, please fill out the International Refund form.            
2. The Student Accounts department will review the form submitted and contact you with further instructions or if additional information is required.
3. Once your refund is approved by Student Accounts, you will receive an email from Flywire to provide your banking details.

*If you have previously paid by Flywire, the available credit will be returned to source through the same method of payment.
