Your active involvement can make a lasting impact on your student's journey to SFU. They may look to you for guidance and encouragement when making big decisions about their educational and professional paths. Help your student manage their academic, social, and personal expectations at university by exploring these resources together.
University life can ebb and flow with personal pressures and life circumstances, but that doesn’t mean students have to feel like they’re on their own. SFU makes resources and services easily accessible to support them throughout their undergraduate studies, not just at the start of it. Explore with your student the network of supports in place for them, should they ever need it.

Well-being plan
Well-being is about having balance in your student's life as they work towards academic success. We share resources to help students be proactive in maintaining their well-being and ways to address more immediate concerns.
SFU's interdisciplinary approach to education helps set students up for success after they obtain their degree. Students cultivate relevant skills and knowledge in an experiential learning environment. Resources like Career and Volunteer Services help prepare students to enter the workforce while they're still completing their studies.
Co-operative education (Co-op)
Co-op programs alternates students' academic study with work experience in degree-relevant fields. Your student will have the opportunity to develop industry-relevant skills and expand their professional network through paid co-op placements.
