Taking credit courses at the Vancouver campus? You may be eligible for a Vancouver Parks & Recreation Membership.

Membership eligibility

Students

To be eligible for an SFU Vancouver Parks & Recreation Membership you must be:

  • An undergraduate or graduate student who is assessed the full Recreation & Athletics fee AND
  • Registered in a minimum of 3 credits at the SFU Vancouver campus or registered per term at the SFU Vancouver campus  

You can only hold one campus recreation membership at the same time. If you prefer, you can choose to obtain an SFU Burnaby Recreation Membership instead of a Vancouver Parks & Recreation Membership.

How To Obtain A SFU Vancouver Membership:

COMPLETE LIABILITY WAIVER

  1. Log into your student account via go.sfu.ca
  2. Click Complete your SFU Athletics & Recreation Waiver Now
  3. Read and agree to the waiver
  4. Waiver may 24-48 hours to be added to the recreation system.

Register

  1. Log into the Recreation web portal at athleticsandrecreation.its.sfu.ca
  2. Click the membership icon to view your eligibile membership options
  3. If you are eligible, an SFU Membership – Vancouver City Pass option will be available to select
  4. Select the eligible membership type and complete the registration process
  5. A receipt verifying the transaction will be emailed to you

Activate

  1. Present your receipt and SFU ID Card to the staff at any of the following Vancouver community centres:
    • West End Community Centre - 870 Denman Street
    • Kitsilano Community Centre - 2690 Larch Street
    • Mount Pleasant Community Centre - 1 Kingsway
    • Trout Lake Community Centre - 3350 Victoria Drive
  2. You will receive a Flexipass to use at recreation centres throughout the municipality

Renew

  1. Each term log into the Recreation web portal at athleticsandrecreation.its.sfu.ca to renew your membership

SFU Vancouver Recreation memberships are available on a 1-term basis (September-December / January-April / May-August)

Vancouver Flexipass allows access to Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation operated fitness centres, public skating and public swimming sessions during operating hours at the facilities listed below.
