Alternate application
If you do not meet SFU’s Admissions requirements, don't worry!
There are three options for you to continue your studies.
Transfer
College is a great way to attend post-secondary classes where you can bring up your GPA. After completing two years of study, you can then apply to SFU.
Learn more about transferring to SFU
SFU has a partnership with Langara College called the Indigenous Transfer Pathway.

Indigenous University Preparation Pathway (IUPP)
The Indigenous University Preparation Pathway (IUPP) prepares Indigenous learners to transition to undergraduate studies at SFU. The pathway offers first-year academic credit courses which integrate humanities and social sciences with an Indigenous perspective. Upon successful completion of the IUPP (2.5 GPA), you will be granted admission to SFU and your completed credits will count towards your undergraduate degree. This is a great option if you are new to post-secondary studies.
Undergraduate Admissions Policy for Indigenous Students (UAPI)
The Undergraduate Admissions Policy for Indigenous (UAPI) students takes into consideration your educational history, cultural knowledge, work experience, educational goals, and other achievements. This is a great option if you are a mature student, have been out of school for awhile, and are looking for options to return to studies.
