Suggested First Term Schedule for High School Entrants - Fall 2024
The number of courses you take in your first term is up to you. We normally suggest you start with 4 courses rather than the maximum 5 as this will help with your transition to university level study. You can always reach out to the Philosophy advisor at philcomm@sfu.ca if you need help deciding.
The courses suggested below are for students entering SFU directly from high school who are intending to major in Philosophy. If you are transferring from a university or college we recommend that you connect with the Philosophy advisor at philcomm@sfu.ca prior to enrolment to discuss your course selection.
Suggested 1st Term Schedule
For your first term, we recommend you enroll in one or more of the following Philosophy courses:

In addition, we suggest you take 2 or 3 elective courses* in your first term. While these can be in any program area, you may wish to take courses that fulfill:
- one or more of your breadth requirements (B-Hum, B-Soc, B-Sci)
