Student story
George Pietrusinski
George Pietrusinski graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and a certificate in Earth Sciences. Armed with this solid foundation, he began working in mining and exploration within a few months of graduation and loves the work and people associated with it. His worksites take him to different remote areas of B.C., in search of localized metal ore deposits such as copper and gold.
Currently, George is a geologist with Equity Exploration, where he collects and analyzes diamond drill core for geomechanical characteristics such as faults and joints. Engineers need this data to inform block cave mining.
