DROP-IN OFFICE HOURS

Sci-Space regularly hosts drop-in office hours with various campus departments—see schedule below for office hours. Please note that all schedules are subject to change, check back for updates. Availability is first come, first served.

  • General Academic Advising: Speak with an advisor about course planning, academic difficulty, success tips, and more!

With over a decade of biotech experience and a BSc in Biochemistry from UBC, I am passionate about science, interdisciplinary collaborations and ensuring the successes of our SFU Science students.

I'm here to help students achieve academic success and find their place in the Faculty of Science. This includes supporting students' academic goals and helping them to discover pathways to academic achievement inside and outside of the classroom.

I am also a proud alumnus of SFU Science and majored in Kinesiology (Ergonomics and Human Factors concentration) and completed five co-op work terms during my degree.

My job is to help students feel at home at SFU! I create and support events and programs such as Welcome Day and peer mentorship. I also help students get involved in extra-curricular activities, train and supervise student volunteers, and support our student unions and clubs.

I completed my BSc in Kinesiology and MEd in Contemplative Inquiry, both at SFU, and I have been working in student affairs at SFU for the past five years. I'm a firm believer that your time here should be academically and socially fulfilling!

I am also an SFU alumna - I completed both my BA and MA in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies here. My MA focused on access to post-secondary education.

Science is for everyone! And it is my job is to provide opportunities to engage with the exciting science that is happening here at SFU. 

I have had the opportunity to work in multiple departments across campus during my career, and am excited to be joining the fabulous Sci-Space. I also am a proud SFU Alumnus; I completed my BFA in Theatre as well as my MEd in Art for Social Change, which focused on outreach and engaging communities by combining pedagogy and creativity - something I get to do every day in this role! 

What's the Sci-Space Crew?

The Sci-Space Crew is a team of enthusiastic and dynamic Science students who help create and support student events and programs at Sci-Space. Through personal exploration of ideas and topics, the Crew takes their reflections and new perspectives to develop meaningful experiences for other students like you!
