About Us

SFU Science provides an exceptional learning experience for over 5,000 students at Burnaby and Surrey campuses, with more than 500 teaching and research faculty and staff.

Our students engage in hands-on research, learn in state-of-the-art facilities, and are mentored by experts in their respective fields. The skills students learn at SFU Science offer pathways to careers in well-paid fields with excellent job opportunities, such as StatisticsActuarial Sciences and Earth Sciences. Our Life Sciences programs in Biomedical Physiology and KinesiologyMolecular Biology and Biochemistry and Biology provide foundational training that will enable our graduates to gain entry into the new SFU School of Medicine (pending accreditation) or other medical schools.
