New Master of Public Policy program SFU’s new Master of Public Policy – the first of its kind in western Canada – quickly found favour with both students and potential employers. The debut program takes full advantage of SFU’s interdisciplinary strengths in policy research, and involves academics from disparate fields including economics, business administration, science, education, and communications. To complement their training, students apply their skills during a summer internship with a public or private sector organization. The program’s focus on policy research and techniques for policy analysis is designed to prepare graduates for a range of positions in the public and private sectors, as well as with non-governmental organizations.
