From a young age, I have always had a passion for the sciences and I knew I wanted to pursue a career in biology. Since then, I’ve searched for a career path that would sate my curiosity and challenge me. After reading about the MBB program at SFU, I knew I found what I was looking for. MBB has provided me with the opportunity I needed to explore my interests, searching into the finest details of human anatomy to provide a unique and thorough understanding of life.

The MBB program has allowed me to immerse myself in the topics that are most important to me, providing the most up to date knowledge on immunity, cancer and disease. The faculty and professors have gone above and beyond, spending time providing me with extra readings and explanations on topics that I wanted to learn more about.

SFU has also provided me with a perfect balance between education and social life. Through classes, clubs, and the many campus social events, I have made many new friends and expanded my network each term. The community is filled with people who share the same interests, but also others who introduce me to new and interesting opportunities; paths that I never knew were there. In the future, I plan to take more of the many MBB lab courses offered at SFU to improve my practical skills and explore different research techniques. I look forward especially to diving deeper into the field of cancer genomics.

If you have a passion for science, then MBB will give you the academic and practical skills you need to secure your future and make breakthroughs in the field.
