Shivani Kundra

Dr. Shivani Kundra is a microbiologist with a PhD in Microbiology from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. She has a strong focus on antimicrobial resistance and the exploration of new drug targets for treating pathogenic bacterial infections. After moving to the University of Florida for her postdoc, she developed expertise in molecular biology, creating mouse models to study bacterial pathogenesis and conduct preclinical drug testing.

Since joining Dr. Lisa Craig’s research group in 2021, Dr. Kundra has been working on developing innovative therapeutic strategies against gonorrhea infections. Her work is at the cutting edge of addressing antibiotic resistance and improving treatment options for bacterial diseases.
