Suggested Areas for Cetacean Watching:

The leeward coast was divided into five hierarchical areas based on the the distribution of cetacean sightings and the distance from port using an unequally weighted multicriteria evaluation. When compared to the species diversity map, it is clear that the primary area includeds the two southern most hotspots. If no animals are found in the small primary area closest to the ports, based on these analyses, it should be recommended that the CW vessels not venture further offshore, but rather travel north-east paralell to the coast towards the thrid hotspot to the north, taking them through the secondary area to the tertiary area.
