Isabel Mayo-Harp specializes in Educational Technology in Language Learning, focusing on flipped instruction, cross-cultural competence, and discourse analysis. She teaches a wide range of Spanish courses, from introductory to advanced levels, fostering both linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding. Her approach emphasizes creating interactive, student-centred environments, integrating technology to enhance engagement and using authentic materials to connect language learning with real-world cultural practices. She looks to encourage students to explore diverse cultural perspectives through language, promoting their critical thinking and intercultural awareness.  In addition to her pedagogical work, Isabel is interested in studying the formation of national identities in Hispanic America and Spain during the 19th century.
