Built in 1969, Shell House is the oldest building in residences and will be closing for good. The expected closure date for Shell House will be Fall 2025 and will occur in conjunction with the re-opening of McTaggart-Cowan Hall. Shell House has single-occupancy only (i.e., no roommates, private) which means that you won't have to share your room with anybody. We offer gender inclusive and single-gender options. Common areas (i.e., washroom, lounges, kitchen, laundry) are shared spaces for all residents living in Shell House.
