High school student applicants
Each Fall, we offer financial aid to incoming students which covers all forms of financial support such as Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries.
Entrance Scholarships
Strong emphasis on academics. Focus is on both academics and school/community involvement.
Entrance Awards
Strong emphasis on community, school involvement, volunteerism, leadership. Academic requirements are lower than those of scholarships.
Entrance Bursaries
Strong emphasis on demonstrated financial need. Academic requirements are lower than those of scholarships.
SFU offers over 150 entrance scholarships annually that recognize outstanding academic achievement and community contributions. Entrance scholarships are available to domestic and international high school applicants. The Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships make up the majority of entrance scholarship offers each year.
SFU offers over 50 entrance awards annually that acknowledge outstanding achievements or contributions to the community. Many of the awards also assist students for whom the cost of attending university would be a significant impediment. Entrance awards are available to domestic high school applicants.
