Entrance BuRsaries
SFU offers a number of large-value entrance bursaries to assist students for whom the cost of attending university would be a significant impediment. Entrance bursaries are available for domestic high school applicants.

Minimum Requirements
- Applying for the Fall term (September)
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- Grades in the 80% range in courses required for their primary program or the minimum IB diploma score required for admission
- Have a demonstrated financial need
By submitting one complete application, you will be considered for the following entrance bursaries:

The Fall 2025 application period is from
November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 (11:59pm PDT)
The application form and any required supporting documents must be submitted via email by March 31, 2025 11:59 PM pst. Follow the instructions on the application form.
The PDF form must be downloaded and completed using Adobe Acrobat Reader (make sure you have it installed on your computer). Follow the instructions below to save the PDF form to your computer and then open it. Fillable forms cannot be completed on mobile devices.
- Right-click on the form link and select:
- Save Link As (if using Chrome, Firefox or Edge); or
- Download Linked File As (if using Safari)
- In the new window, select Desktop then click Save,
- Locate the form on your Desktop, right-click and select Open With, then select Adobe Acrobat,
- You can now complete and save your PDF form.
