Entrance BuRsaries
The Fall 2025 application is now open.
SFU offers a number of large-value entrance bursaries to assist students for whom the cost of attending university would be a significant impediment. Entrance bursaries are available to domestic high school applicants.

Minimum Requirements
- Applying for the Fall term (September)
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- Grades in the 80% range in courses required for their primary program or the minimum IB diploma score required for admission
- Have a demonstrated financial need
Fall 2025 Application Period:
November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 (11:59pm PDT)
By submitting one complete application, you will be considered for the following entrance bursaries:

| Fairfax Entrance Bursary | $30,000 |
| Gilhooley Family Entrance Bursary in Business | $40,000 |
Entrance Bursary applicants who also wish to be considered for SFU’s Entrance Awards, must submit the Required Supporting Documents for SFU’s Entrance Awards with their completed Application Form.
Instructions
- Download the PDF application form and complete it using Adobe Acrobat Reader (make sure you have it installed on your computer).
- Submit your application form by March 31, 2025 11:59 PM PDT.

- Download Linked File As (if using Safari)
- In the new window, select Desktop then click Save,
