The inspiration for Luv the Grub came to Alia Sunderji while she was teaching a sustainable innovation class at SFU. Since they began in 2018, Luv the Grub has saved thousands of pounds of imperfect produce from landfill and employed dozens of refugees. Susgrainable produces sustainable, local baked goods, baking mixes, flour, and retail products made from upcycled barley flour.
