SFU is committed to being a model for community sustainability, demonstrating leadership through its support of Fair Trade and ethical procurement. Fair trade is a demand-based system that allows consumers to vote with their dollars for the world they want. SFU is engaging its own purchasing power by offering a multitude of different certified products on campus through the Fair Trade Campus Program. You will find a great selection of Fair Trade coffee and espresso, tea, bananas, chocolate, avocados and black peppercorns, with more to come!
Through all of its efforts, SFU is indirectly supporting producers by working towards increasing the demand for Fair Trade so that the movement can continue to grow.
