On Wednesday, March 26, the Faculty of Health Sciences and the FHS Graduate Caucus are excited to host the FHS Master's Student Career Night. Join us for an evening to chat and network with 4 FHS alumni and learn more about their experience and trajectory from their graduate school experience to their career.
This event is intended for students in the Faculty of Health Sciences Graduate program. Light refreshments and food will be provided.

With a strong research background and experience in community mental health, I am motivated to improve population mental health especially among children and youth by engaging with intersectoral partners, working on upstream solutions, and applying scientific evidence.
I am also passionate about eliminating inequities for people living with and recovering from mental illness through research, advocacy, and person-centred care.

I am an MPH graduate in the Social Inequities and Health stream from Simon Fraser University. I am also a trained chemist with various experiences in experimental research. My research interests include the total synthesis of natural products, organic chemistry, youth-related health issues, public health approaches to substance use, and community-based participatory research and practice.

Piotr Majkowski is a health care leader with experience in clinical care, education, research, and policy. A registered nurse, his background spans Acute, Tertiary & Community Mental Health and Substance Use, Pediatrics, and Public Health. He has taught nursing ethics and mental health at multiple institutions and worked with organizations like the WHO on health inequities. A strong community advocate, he has served on various boards. Currently, Piotr is a Program Director at Providence Health Care and holds a Master’s in Public Health from SFU, specializing in social inequities.
