Biography

As the Director Administration and Strategic Planning in partnership with the Dean, Luciana oversees the implementation of measures which guide Faculty’s strategic short and long term goals by providing leadership for financial management, academic planning, operational management including human resources and information technology and external relations.

Luciana has over 15 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting and experience leading special enterprise system implementation projects both in private and public sector. Luciana joined FHS in 2013 first as the Manager Budgets and Financial Analysis and was promoted to her current Director role in 2016. Prior to joining SFU, Luciana’s career spanned private high tech sector industry (PMC-Sierra), non for profit health care sector (VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation) and more recently the Provincial Health Services Authority where she oversaw the administration and analysis of annual funds dispensed by the Ministry of Health to all health authorities and specialized provincial agencies in BC.

Luciana has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Finance and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPA-BC)
