Mould

Mould growth can occur in buildings where water has infiltrated areas due to heavy rains, plumbing failures, flooding or high humidity. It is important to report water leaks or water ingress events as soon as possible to help prevent mould growth.

Training & orientation

Training and orientation is necessary for workers who work around mould impacted materials, but the level of training varies by the type of activities performed.

New and Young Worker Orientation

Basic information building occupants regarding mould is a part of the New and Young Worker Orientation training which all faculty & staff must take.

Mould Awareness

Mould awareness training is required for all staff who work with mould impacted materials. It is coordinated by EHS every 3 years.
