SeeNear (mobile app)
By: Sangwoong Choi, Yeonseo Kim
Course: IAT 334 Interface Design
Description: SeeNear is a mobile app designed to alleviate social isolation and depression among seniors by providing a platform for hobby community engagement and self-reflection. The deterioration of physical function as individuals age increases the amount of time they spend at home, which leads to social isolation. It is therefore crucial to encourage socialization online, providing seniors with opportunities to connect with other seniors and talk to themselves. This app allows seniors to reflect on their surroundings and how they have changed over time, giving them a chance to reflect time and themselves.
