Slow and Steady
Top-down, 2.5D game
By: Tori Lu, Simon Chettle, Derian Sera, Aman Singh
Course: IAT 410 Advanced Game Design
Description: Slow and Steady is a top-down, 2.5D shooter with old-school mode elements that bombards players with hordes of enemies. When players hold down the right click, the playable main character can activate its special ability that slows down the time of the game to give the player time to adjust their aim and pick off enemies. The players must complete the goals of each enemy in a wave to begin the next wave and will engage against a large number of enemies that collectively chase after the player.
The games world has been taken over by smart devices, and as the last bastion of defense against these smart devices, the player character of a CRT-TV has been assembled in a factory and equipped with a high power sniper rifle, from there the avatar is able to take missions from the Factory it’s assembled in and clear out areas to free up those areas from the control of smart devices.
