Walkway Canopy (Parametric Pavilion)
By: Chloe Narcisse Velasquez, Alyssa Marie Umbal, and Matthew Armstrong
Course: IAT 233 Spatial Design
Project description: This project is a walkway pavilion using a canopy as the structure of the overall space and parametric modeling through Rhino and Grasshopper to form geometric-based shapes for the design of the pavilion. The pavilion was designed to be placed at the intersection of two walkways in Holland Park in Surrey, BC, Canada. The pavilion includes an abstract sculpture that people can look at, as well as a sitting area for people to sit and relax.
