Mystic Walker (mobile app)
By: Jenise Cheung, Jillian Li
Course: IAT 359 Mobile Computing
Description: Mystic Walker is a mobile app that combines creature collecting and pet simulation to inspire users to spend more time outside.
By setting timers and encouraging short walks, players can discover hidden creatures after their walks. Users can find and capture these creatures by taking a photo with their cameras. The users can earn XP by exchanging their collected creatures to unlock different accessories. The types of creatures encountered are influenced by the player's environment, including factors like light and temperature, as well as the duration of the walk timer. After collecting creatures, users can interact with them and perform tasks like petting to keep them happy.
