SIAT Success at ACM CHI 2019

The School of Interactive Arts and Technology contributed 16 full papers to the 2019 ACM International Conference on Computer-Human Interaction (CHI). The CHI conference is considered among the most prestigious and premier venues internationally to publish and present quality research in Human-Computer Interaction. SIAT’s contributions place SFU as the top ranking university across Canada with the most publications at CHI 2019.

Over 3,000 of the world’s top researchers, scientists, and designers are traveling to Glasgow, UK for CHI 2019, the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems. The premier international conference of Human-Computer Interaction will take place from May 4-9, 2019. Authors affiliated with the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) contributed 16 full papers to CHI 2019, including one best paper award, as well as numerous other late-breaking works, workshops, and special interest groups. SIAT faculty members involved in these contributions include Gabriela Aceves-Sepúlveda, Alissa Antle, Parmit Chilana, Steve DiPaola, Diane Gromala, Kate Hennessy, Carman Neustaedter, William Odom, Bernhard Riecke, Wolfgang Stuerzlinger, and Ron Wakkary. SIAT’s 16 full papers at CHI 2019 places SFU as offering the most archival contributions of any Canadian university nationwide.
